Teckel AI ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services.

  • Usage Data: We may collect information about your interactions with our services, such as the features you use and the time, frequency, and duration of your activities.
  • Device and Log Information: We may collect information from and about the devices you use to access our services, such as IP address, browser type, and operating system.
  • API Data: When you use our SDK, we collect the data you decide to share with us, which may include user queries, AI responses, and source document text and metadata.
  • Payment Processing Info: Stripe payment history and related information.

2. How We Use Your Information​

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our services.
  • Improve, personalize, and expand our services.
  • Understand and analyze how you use our services.
  • Develop new products, services, features, and functionality.
  • Improve the accuracy of our classification and categorization systems using aggregated, de-identified usage patterns.
  • Communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the service, and for marketing and promotional purposes.
  • Process your transactions.
  • Find and prevent fraud.

3. How We Share Your Information​

We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following circumstances:

  • With your consent.

  • For legal reasons: We may share information if we believe it's required by law, regulation, or legal process.

  • To enforce our rights, prevent fraud, and for safety.

  • Service Providers: We may share information with third-party vendors who provide services on our behalf, including but not limited to:

    • Cloud infrastructure and database hosting (Supabase, AWS, Fly.io)
    • AI processing for embedding, analysis, and evaluation (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)
    • Payment processing (Stripe)
    • Email delivery (Resend)
    • Error monitoring and performance analysis (Sentry)
    • Rate management (Redis Upstash)
    • Authentication services (Google, when you choose to sign in with Google or use Drive connectors)
    • Messaging integrations (Slack, when you enable the connector)

    These providers process data to deliver their services to us and are bound by their respective privacy policies and data protection agreements.

4. Data Security​

We use a variety of security measures to protect your information, including encryption and enterprise scoped access controls. However, no security system is impenetrable, and like any organization we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

5. Your Rights​

You have the right to:

  • Access, update, or delete your personal information.
  • Object to processing of your personal information.
  • Request that we limit the processing of your personal information.
  • Request portability of your personal information within reasonable limit.

6. Data Retention​

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request deletion of your data at any time. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal information and customer data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

7. Cookies and Tracking​

We use cookies for authentication and session management. Our error monitoring service (Sentry) may collect performance data to help us identify and fix issues.
